Spring Has Sprung!
We are so excited that the wedding season has officially started and we are back in the swing of things. It felt like a long cold winter and there is not many weddings in winter. I was really anxious to start designing again, on weeks that I don't have a wedding to work on, I really miss the flowers. This is not a just a job, its a passion! In fact, my favorite wholesale man always laughs at me because every week, I always try to treat myself to a bunch of flowers for my desk to look at and enjoy. He finds this quite strange since I look at flowers all week long, he thinks I would welcome a break!
I was so excited to add a few of the early spring wedding photos to share. 'Spring 2009'
Ryan and Kristen's 'Spring tulips' wedding was so enjoyable to work on, all of those beautiful fresh multicolored tulips made the day extra warm and cheerful. My favorite things about wedding was her bouquets of hydrangea and tulips and her unity candle centerpiece of mixed spring flowers in white, yellow and touch of blue. Their reception was at PNC Park the Lexus club, the simple arrangement of bright mix colored tulips in short ginger vases was the perfect centerpiece for that dining area. I couldn't help but wonder if Kristen & Ryan got to 'run the bases'?! I know my delivery helper wanted to sneak out on the field and 'run the bases'!!
Elizabeth and Steve got married this past weekend. The ceremony was held at Memorial Park Church in North Hills. It just took my breath away seeing the sun shine and light up the stained glass window. As soon as you walked in, Elizabeth had an urn of pink tulips and hydrangea, with pew bows all along the isle and her white isle runner crash. I'm sure it made for some beautiful photographs of her walking down the isle.
Her reception was held at The Pittsburgh Field Club in Fox Chapel. That place is just gorgeous, the Chandeliers in the main ball room and the cocktail area with the white wicker furniture, Gorgeous! I've heard it is one of the oldest golf courses/clubs in Pittsburgh, its first class all the way!
Best Wishes to the Happy Couples!
